As Corporate Executive:

More than 36 years’ experience in agriculture sector from farm manager to corporate executive.
Experience includes operational and strategic management,
from approximately 1 000 farmers as suppliers to the plant,
managing Estates of 14 000ha under irrigation as well as the logistics to the plant and market.
Involved in land reform with establishing and managing joint venture partnerships.
Also involved in water management from farm level to catchment as well as international level.

• Involved in various water management projects.
  • 40 Irrigation Boards over 8 major catchments with 140 000 ha under irrigation so far.
  • Addressing issues from operational issues and historic DWS debt.
  • Facilitating the establishment of WUA’s.
  • Other projects including a hydro generation project.

  • Involved in 8 Agri and Family businesses so far.
  • Also been involved in projects in Africa.
  • Developed/updating business models with implementation plan.
  • Facilitate a common vision and plan with each member knowing his role going forward.

Behind the name and logo

Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion, or it will be killed. Every morning a lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle, or it will starve to death. It doesn’t matter whether you are a lion or a gazelle. When the sun comes up, you better start running.

One of the animals that mostly look at all of this activity each day in Africa from a different angle from a distance is the giraffe.
